Writing

Weekend Distractions

So much for writing every day of NaNo, huh? Well, I have a good excuse, I promise! Saturday was our annual Operation Christmas Child Packing Party – a party in which we invite all of our friends to bring toys and eat lots of good food while they help pack shoeboxes for children overseas. Of course, this time they didn’t do so well in the whole eating food part, which means we have a ton of leftovers. Anyone want to come over and help us finish them? It’s like they all just wanted to work on packing boxes! I suppose I can forgive them since we DID get 149 boxes packed in like three hours.

Then, I proceeded to stay up until 4/5 in the morning (depending on if you count when the time switched to read, because I wasn’t exhausted enough from shopping until 11:30 the night before, and being on my feet prepping, entertaining, and cleaning for 12 hours. Yeah. Wise choice, Jacinta, wise choice. **shushes Chadwick**

But, we still managed to make it to church today, and then collapsed for an hour or so, and then worked in the yard the rest of the day. So, yeah, I haven’t written since Friday. But I DID get 2,000 words written Friday, so I’m only….like 10,000 words behind. Yay.

I’m just going to leave you with a NaNoToon (Errol, if you ever read my blog, please know the day you stopped writing NaNoToons was one of the saddest of my life).
