Babies and Games

I know, I know, this post is technically a day late. What can I say–I am not perfect, no matter how much I strive to be. And yes, I do strive to be.

My brother, his wife, and their two-month old baby came to visit for the week and it was delightful. Not just because that baby is one of the most adorable, perfect babies ever, as demonstrated in the below photo, but because we did nothing but play board games and eat all week.

And when I say we played board games, I mean, a lot of them. I think we managed to fit in over a dozen games in the five days they were here, from Terraforming Mars to Anomia. We would have fit in even more but we discovered my mini NES had Dr. Mario on it, which took a lot of well-deserved attention as well (now I want to stop writing this and go play that again). We also hit a couple of wineries, a few restaurants, and the dessert cafe down the street. Don’t you love it when visitors give you a legitimate excuse to avoid writing and all related things?

And since they did, I have nothing else to update you on today, so enjoy cooing over the picture of my niece and I’ll see you next week!
