Behind the Word Count. . . Again

My goal on Friday was to catch up on my word count. AND I DID! Over 4,000 words later, I was completely caught up.

And then, of course, came the weekend. We had an Operation Christmas Child Packing Party on Saturday (packed 95 boxes!), which means I didn’t write anything that day and, because I was exhausted afterward, I also took that as permission to take Sunday off. Seriously. I woke up at like noon, and didn’t even get dressed. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t get dressed. I just lounged around all day. We didn’t even start cleaning up until today. Don’t tell our guests.

So, of course, that means that I am behind AGAIN. So, AGAIN, here we go. I am going to try to write over 3,000 words today and tomorrow so I can once again be back on track. How on earth did I do this when I had a full-time job???

From my writing session:

Nameless expected to be fighting off panic about now. She had always thought if she was forced to sleep in a house she wouldn’t be able to sleep for fear of something going wrong, but now, with the wooden paneling right above her face, close enough to bump if she sat up too quickly, she found a strange sense of comfort. Almost familiarity.
