NaNoWriMo Day 3: Slow but Sure?

I know, I said Day 3 and it’s technically Day 4, but I am updating you about the day before, so I’m technically still right.

Yesterday, I once again waited until evening to get my words in, and then attempted to do them while watching a movie (without pressing pause) and through election results. Needless to say, it took many hours to actually finish them, though it was a nice break from the stress of watching election results.

There was far more telling than showing in yesterday’s writing and I had to remind myself more than once that that is okay for a first draft. Once I almost deleted an entire paragraph before remember that would set my word back by a lot. So I put it back and just kept typing. Ah, the joys of NaNoWriMo.

From yesterday’s session:

Something constricted in the child’s chest. She didn’t understand all that had just been said, but she did understand one thing. She would be separated from her little sister.
